New York: preparation before the conversation.
AI Founders Connect · Cornell Tech · 23 April 2026
The Cornell Tech round brings the operational side of community-building into focus. A useful founder–investor programme requires work before the event: coordinating a venue, collecting presentations, confirming participants and preparing the discussion.
The round's archive contains a signed venue order, startup and investor trackers, pitch materials, communications and event media. It records an organised programme, not merely a marketing announcement.
The detail behind the event

AI Founders Connect’s April 2026 Cornell Tech programme records 67 ticket records. Its preparation tracker contains eight pitch-ticket rows, with seven marked “Pitch Received”. A separate investor tracker records five panelists as confirmed during preparation.
These are preparation and ticket records. They should not be read as independently verified attendance, investor counts, stage appearances, completed investment assessments or funding outcomes.
Programme economics, clearly defined
The archive records $5,902.00 in gross ticket receipts and $5,405.15 in provider-reported net ticket sales. These monetary measures show the scale of the event's ticket activity, not the amount raised by participating startups.
Neither figure represents profit: venue and other programme costs still require full reconciliation. They are distinct from Westminster investment capital or returns.
Why preparation matters
A founder's story is easier to assess when the underlying material is available in advance. Product, market, commercial progress and financing requirements can be examined as connected questions rather than isolated claims.
The same principle informs Westminster's proposed investment process: obtain the relevant evidence, identify the questions that could change the decision, and ensure that a promising introduction is followed by substantive assessment.
Continuing beyond the room
A programme can create introductions and discussion. An investment relationship requires additional work: consent to use information, clear responsibility for follow-up, independent diligence and a decision made by the appropriate investment authority.
Event participation does not establish a place in Westminster's portfolio. The Cornell Tech venue does not imply university backing of the fund.
